If you want to add a bit of music to the scene, then one possibility is a classic and very catchy song by Abba, entitled ‘Thank You for the Music’.
You can give it the symbolsong treatment (see No. 7), which can act as an introduction to the activity. And if you feel it appropriate, it can also be used as background music for the whole-class mingle. The song lasts a little under 4 minutes, so playing it twice should be about enough time to cover the activity, without overdoing things.
